The Battle

Today…there is a battle for control of our body, mind, and soul.

We are constantly faced with choices that determine whether we are winning or losing this battle.

In order to win the battle we must obtain the inner strength and courage, to face any problems we might have along the way.

Proverbs 20:18 
“Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.”

We also need pure motives to fuel this inner strength, and discernment to make the right choices along the way.
These things are needed because the perception we have of ourselves greatly effect the direction we choose to go, and our ability to reach our desired destination.

When our perspective becomes more like God’s, we can change our direction and future for the better.

God’s word gives us the capability to see ourselves the way he does.

His word will give us insight to help us look past the external things in our lives, to the internal aspects which control us.
Choosing God’s ways will open the door to inner strength, that will change our:

1. Focus- The Eyes
2. Interest- The Ears
3. Frame of mind- The Mind
4. Motivations- The Heart
5. Influence- The Mouth
6. Industry- The Hands
7. Direction- The Feet

PART ONE: The Eyes
I. Things are not always what they appear.
II. An eternal view will give us perfect vision.PART TWO: The Ears 
I. Are we listening to Gods’ counsel?
II. Are we regarding his ways as important?
III. Are we hearing and receiving what God is saying to us?

PART THREE: The Mind
I. Our direction depends upon our choice.
II. We must choose a willing mind.
III. Having a willing mind will allow us to gain his understanding.
IV. Feeding our minds.
V. Preparing our food.
VI. Discerning wisdom.
VII. God requires our honesty, before we can grow.
VIII. Having pride in the wrong things, will hinder our growth.
IX. By accepting and keeping God’s word, we receive many things.
X. Maintaining a pure mind requires diligence.
XI. Using our minds for a good purpose.
XII. Prioritizing brings focus.
XIII. Are God’s ways controlling our thoughts?
XIV. Trusting in our own understanding will leave us blind, and without purpose or direction.
XV. How are we allowing God to build his principles within us? 

PART FOUR: The Heart
I. Do we have a healthy heart?
II. What are the signs of a bad heart?
III. How can we find satisfaction?
IV. Making the best choice.
V. Are we practicing separation or collaboration with the enemy?
VI. Desiring the things of real value.
VII.  Is God fulfilling our desires?
VIII. What pleases God?
IX. What does God delight in?
X. Checking our motives.
XI. The preparation of the heart.
XII.  Prioritizing and making room.
XIII. Trusting God.
XIV. Equipping ourselves.
XV.   Making an Impact
XVI. Becoming skilled.
XVII. Learning from the skilled.
XVIII. Living by example.
XIX.  Our faith is known by what we say, and how we live.

PART FIVE: The Mouth
I. How does our mouth reflect our thoughts?
II. How does our mouth reflect our heart attitude?
III. How does our mouth effect our life and the lives of others?
IV. How will our mouth effect eternity?
V. How have we impacted the lives of others for eternity?

PART SIX: The Hands
I. What kind of difference can our hands make for eternity?
II. What will God require of us, when we stand before him?

PART SEVEN: The Feet
I. How much does our own Christian walk matter?
II. What will be the evidence of my Christian walk, in eternity?

    I have skimmed through your study. Looks great! I think I will download it for a potential study for my small group. My printer is low on ink so I will need to relaoad and print another day. Oh, I need to ask, is OK to use this for my small group in the future?
