Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” This tells us that the sin of Adam made us all sinners.
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” We’ve all sinned.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Our payment for sin is spiritual death BUT Jesus was willing to pay for our sin.
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus paid the price of our sin on the cross so we wouldn’t have to.
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Good deeds will never get you to heaven.
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” You can’t follow the Old Testament laws (the 10 Commandments) and still get to heaven.
Acts 3:19 “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” When we repent we are truly sorry for our sin.
Romans 10:9-13 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” To have a relationship with Jesus Christ as your Savior, you only have to pray confessing your sin, believe in your heart that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again on the third day, and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. It’s that simple! Here’s a prayer you can pray:
Dear Lord, I am a sinner and am sorry for my sins. I accept that Jesus Christ is the son of God who came down and lived as man, was crucified and died on the cross for my sins and was raised again on the third day according to the scriptures. I ask Jesus to come into my heart and save me from my sins.
If you really meant what you prayed then you are SAVED! God promises you that there is nothing that can make you unsaved or not spend eternity with Him. You only need to ask Him once.
1 John 2:25 “And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.” God cannot lie and has promised eternal life to anyone who calls on Him.
